The more and more I think about this small-townness, the more I really worry. Last week Jacob Zuma was acquited on all charges of rape, and now he has resumed his position as Deputy president of the ANC. Does this mean he could be our next President? Probably. So two friends and I took to the streets to get comment from 'normal' Grahamstowners. The result- sweet bloody nothing. Everyone was too busy, or not interested. Wierd since there were so many protests against this man. Anyway that said the annual Captivate Student Media Conference is coming up again, and because of it's success last year we're aiming to improve. Problem- we cant get enough funding to accommodate our delegates as yet. So the strategy was to ask all the local businesses- who would lose a significant amount of business if there weren't any students- for some money. Again the small townness idea arises. Nobody interested except three businesses. So besides them I'd like to say, Karma comes around and all you silly little businesses will come short, watch. Our conference will go ahead, and don't you come crying when you want to advertise because we won't be interested in you, DAMN STOOPIDRS!
